TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AND HERITAGE SUB-
AIM
To maximise the potential and benefits of Valleys Partnership and VRP vision and
the opportunities it affords through the provision of appropriate strategic and technical
advice and guidance on collaborative working and practical project implementation.
The Tourism Sub Group has the following specific objectives:
• To agree the allocation of VP funding to tourism and heritage projects
• To monitor the performance of VP-
• To ensure alignment between the tourism action plan for the VP area and relevant local, regional and national tourism and cultural strategies
• To encourage consistent and comprehensive application of the Valleys Branding
• To identify, share and promote best practice in the delivery of destination management in the Valleys including: sustainable tourism, community tourism, activity tourism and heritage projects
• To liaise with the other Sub-
• Through its membership to develop an effective communication network with the wider
tourism stakeholders
